“When you make service your sole purpose in life, it eliminates fear, focuses your mind, and gives you meaning.” – H. H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

When an individual becomes stress-free, the mind naturally inclines towards doing good for others. An innate desire springs up to make a difference in someone else’s life. The organization gives a direction to this need by offering ample opportunities for doing seva (service). Projects across the country spanning areas of rural and tribal development to environmental care, women and youth empowerment to disaster and trauma relief are sustained through the time, effort and skills of thousands of inspired volunteers. And what matters here is not the quantity but the sincerity that each one comes with. Be it organizing a stress-free program or spending a day teaching an underprivileged child or using a vacation to spend valuable time with rural folks, its the quality that makes all the difference! Volunteering for these service projects is also a great way to meet like-minded people dedicated to various causes, and to learn new skills.

If you wish to contribute in any which way, we welcome your contribution. Please get in touch with your local centres to know more about the service projects in your area and get involved!
